Survivors convened in Ottawa amid escalating concerns regarding antisemitism. To observe International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Canadians assembled at the National Holocaust Monument in Ottawa. The event paid tribute to the six million Jewish victims and the millions of others murdered by the Nazi regime. Commemorating the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, it united survivors, politicians, and community leaders to contemplate history and address the troubling increase in antisemitism.
