Practicing Jews from a lost Indian tribe are set to relocate to Israel's volatile northern region, marking the official start of a mass migration this year. Claiming descent from one of the long-lost tribes of Israel, some have already moved independently to what they consider their ancestral homeland after centuries of displacement and decades of political debate. Now, Israel is financially supporting the relocation of more than 5,000 additional individuals to Nof Ha-Galil, a Jewish-Arab town. The migrants originate from the conflict-ridden and economically struggling state of Manipur.
